Taking landscape photography to a new level with a collection of unique perspectives from England's Yorkshire Dales and beyond.
The Yorkshire Dales are one of the most photographed regions in the world. And rightly so. But once you've seen one stunning Dales landscape, you've seen them all, right? One verdant, green river valley, flecked with the yellows and whites of Spring meadow flowers, looks like all the rest. A windswept limestone crag set against the looming dark clouds of a November sky, looks very much like any other?
We don’t think so. We know that every Dale has its own unique topography, its own character. And every settlement of stone-built cottages, neatly bordered by drystone walls, has its own distinctive setting in the Yorkshire landscape and it’s own visual story to tell.
So in 2017, we embarked on a project to photograph every Yorkshire Dales village and town, from a unique perspective. That perspective being from 300 feet high. Using the latest drone photography technology, we have endeavoured to capture aerial images of every Dales settlement, and to tell those stories.
The project is ongoing, but this website showcases some of the images captured to date. We hope you enjoy them. Maybe you’ll even spot your own home or favourite spot, and if you do, all images are available to buy as a digital download or print product.
